Our surprise September 6 package, a few weeks early, was Astrud’s filly! Mom and baby doing fine! Named Paloma do Summerwind, our barbie doll girl is sired by Violeiro do Riomar, a National Champion Marchador in Brazil.

Introducing our P babies!
Puka do Summerwind – bay tobiano filly. Reserved and headed to North Carolina eventually. Headed for Colorado for the summer months with dam Isabelle do Great Lakes, owned by Karen and Randy. Another great baby for Izzy and our first from newly imported frozen semen Atrevido do Porto Palmeira.
Paris do Summerwind – bay filly. Staying put with owner Cathy Pierce and her dam Cassandra do MManor. Another filly from imported semen from Arun de Maripa (so far only 1 boy in the mix and we love getting fillies!) Video is her first time out! So cute.
Padawan do Summerwind – bay tobiano colt. He waited until April to be born! But well worth the wait! He will stay a stud colt / stallion prospect for Elizabeth Sims in AZ (who also owns Jedi-Knight and Leia do Summerwind). He will also enjoy the summer months in Pagosa Springs with dam Brasilia do Summerwind.
ASTRUD HAS BEEN SOLD! Great new owner Susan Salazar who will write her journey back into horses soon.
Astrud is a 13 year old grey mare with a wonderful marcha and personality that likes to please – just like a Marchador! She is the daughter of Tabatinga Monitor x Pupila de Itajoana, bred by my good friend Tresa Smith in Montana. Affectionately nicknamed Strudle, she will make a great riding horse, but we’d prefer to see her produce a few foals too. We will be breeding her in late fall to early spring if she is not sold. Astrud and/or a foal from Astrud is offered for sale to the perfect owner.

Even though we have known her since she was a foal herself, she just arrived in Arizona so we are getting to ride her for the first time and taking it slowly. But everything we have seen, we like! We are in a partnership with her owner to offer her for sale. She has had one foal, Gabriel do Dreamcatcher, so she has been busy for the last year or so.

Obi and Olivia do Summerwind join the SW herd. They are both staying with Summerwind — OBI with owners D.j. Sims and Elizabeth Sims in Arizona and OLIVIA with owners Cathy and Randy Pierce in Texas.

Meet Obi do Summerwind! Our newest baby horse, he is a black colt, born March 22, 2020.
Obi is the son of Jedi-Knight do Summerwind x Gralha M.U.G. 2019 was Jedi-Knight’s first year breeding and both foals born to-date seem to have his laid-back and confident personality and his excellent gait.
We are looking forward to watching Obi – love the MM babies!
