We are expecting – Greatness!

We were delighted to hear from SW breeder Cathy Pierce that Destiny do Summerwind is confirmed pregnant to Violeiro do Riomar (via imported frozen semen).

It will be Destiny’s second foal and Violeiro’s first in North America! Violeiro is a 3 time National Champion in Brazil, now producing national champions at Haras AP, Bahia. The conformation, gait and temperament should be awesome. The color options for the future foal are: bay, buckskin, palomino and chestnut.

Thanks to all who helped along the way – many years – to make this semen importation possible, and there were many!

  • Late 2019 – Jedi-Knight do Summerwind x Azenha de Maripa – may be offered for sale, but reserved for now if it’s a tobiano filly.
  • Early 2020 – Jedi-Knight do Summerwind x Grahla M.U.G – reserved

Nobre do Summerwind is born!

Third N Summerwind foal and he is a charm! Born Friday, June 14, 2019! Named Nobre do Summerwind which means noble, he looks like he will grow into his name. He is the son of La Paz Jivago x Cassandra do MManor, born to SW breeder Cathy Pierce in Corpus Christi, TX.

Congratulations to Cathy, and to new owners Elizabeth Sims of Silver Stables and Randy Gassett, both from AZ.

Imported sire La Paz Jivago, has sired foals in Brazil, the US and Canada. He is the son of ELITE 8 stallion Ideal Tabatinga x ELITE 7 mare Favacho Bulgaria (daughter of Tabatinga Senegal x Favacho Sina). Dam Cassandra do MManor is the daughter of 2 imported Marchadors known for producing beautiful foals with great temperament and gait – Frevo da Camaq x Ibiza da Boa Fe.

Already we love this little one. Color may display as grulla, as he is homozygous black with homozygous nd/1 – primitive markings. Summerwind does complete DNA panels on all their foals.
