Named Bittersweet Ranch, it becomes the new home for us and Summerwind Marchadors in Litchfield CT. While no fencing or barn structures are there at the moment, the land has meadows, trails and forests – ideal for horseback riding, hunting and birdwatching. And it also backs to state land and trails! The house is a mix of history, charm and modern updates. Some of the house dates to 1767. We thought it was near perfect. Perfect for us as it was close to family and that was the driver to move back east.
We are moving in late December. New address is 93 Northfield Rd, Litchfield CT 06759.
Come visit us!!
The Summerwind Marchador horses we own are staying in Colorado until we are ready in CT for some of them to move there. We hope to create a retirement home for the old ones we love. For breeding, we will need to buy additional new mares or fillies or breed using the mares now in Arizona, Texas and Colorado to produce our future foals. We do love the babies! And we can help grow the Marchador breed – another state for the MM breed.
We are also following in D.j.’s footsteps, adding some other animals! Chickens, sheep, highland cattle, paca vicunas, peacocks – the list has to be whittled down, lol.
Take a peak! Yes, it does have a greenhouse!
