Description:

Bossa Nova de Miami, foundation mare
Bossa Nova de Miami, foundation mare

Our very first Marchador!

Bossa Nova de Miami is our biggest mare, both in terms of height and also her Charles Barkley body.  She is a beautiful mare with a confident and outgoing personality. Great conformation and an enjoyable easy-going gait are also traits that she passes on to her foals! Her marcha is smooth, whether fast or slow, and classic form.

Bossa Nova is the horse we put beginning, inexperienced riders on because of her easy going nature. But, she can also be dramatic, flashy and a look-at-me horse for the camera or when protecting her babies in the pasture.

She is one of the original Guerra-bred foundation mares bred from stock imported from one of the top farms in Brazil, Fazenda Calciolandia.  Calciolandia continues to excel in breeding and winning in the show ring in Brazil, with an emphasis on breeding for the lateral picada gait.  Bossa Nova’s pedigree is a mix of Herdade and Caxumbu bloodlines (historic lineages.)
